Steve McCurry: Donne e Icone a Forlí

La passione per le cose belle non ha confini di genere. Ed in più in questo mio post posso continuare a parlare di donne, e lo faccio in occasione di una mostra fotografica di un grande, l’americano Steve McCurry. Nella bellissima cornice dei Musei San Domenico a Forlí si terrà fino al 10 gennaio 2016 l’esposizione delle fotografie dell’artista/documentarista denominata “Icons and women“che merita assolutamente una visita. Steve McCurry é il fotografo che da intruso al confine tra Pakistan e Afghanistan, riuscì a scattare la foto di una giovane rifugiata, Sharbat Gula, in un campo profughi divenuta famosissima in tutto il mondo nel 1984 dopo la pubblicazione sulla copertina del National Geographic. Questa é tuttora una delle foto maggiormente riconosciute, una vera icona, quasi al pari della immagine di Che Guevara o di Marylin per intenderci. Colori bellissimi, espressione del viso ed occhi che comunicano una storia al di lá del semplice scatto. La stessa cosa accade per le 180 fotografie esposte che vi portano oltre la sola visione, grazie ad un audioguida di commento dell’autore per quelle che sono definite le sue icone. Tutte le foto della mostra comunque, tramite il percorso espositivo a cura di Biba Giacchetti, e grazie all’allestimento di Peter Bottazzi, risultano molto affascinanti e ci raccontano storie. E anche storie di donne, raccontate dai ritratti di statiste o semplici ragazze di varie etnie-fotografate da McCurry in in vari paesi . L’anteprima di ” Icons and women” é avvenuta  la mattina del 25 all’interno della settimana del Buon Vivere, dove al termine della conferenza stampa durante la quale Steve McCurry ha risposto alle nostre domande, ho avuto il piacere di seguire il percorso della mostra con l’autore. Da qui abbiamo capito che preferisce parlare con le sue foto piuttosto che dilungarsi in interviste, anche se al pomeriggio in un teatro gremito, ha raccontato del suo lavoro in una conversazione con il giornalista Gianni Riotta, toccando molti momenti della sua energetica ed avventurosa carriera, ricca di storie – anche drammatiche -molto interessanti.

Dessa forma vocês podem imaginar o tamanho da minha emoção em ter ido, Sexta-feira passada, a vernissage da mostra fotografica do americano Steve McCurry no Museu San Domenico na linda cidade de Forlí. A mostra que será realizada até o dia 10 de janeiro de 2016, é intitulada de “Icons and Women” e vou logo afirmando que vale muito a pena ir visitar a mesma. Uma das fotos mais famosas do Steve McCurry que foi capa da revista National Geographic, é a da famosa garota afegã Sharbat Gula com os lindos olhos claros fotografada em um campo de refugiados em 1984. Esta foto é mundialmente conhecida, um verdadeiro ícone, tão famosa como a foto de Che Guevara e Marylin. Uma foto com cores bonitas, expressão facial e os olhos que comunicam uma história para além do simples clique. O mesmo acontece com as 180 fotografias dessa exposição que os levarão além da visão, graças aos comentário feitos pelo fotógrafo e, que você poderá escutar no audio-guia, onde o mesmo descreve as suas fotos icônicas . Todas as fotos expostas na mostra tem a curadoria de Biba Giacchetti, e decor de Peter Bottazzi. São fotos fascinantes e que nos contam histórias. Histórias contadas pelos retratos de mulheres famosas e simples de diversas etnias e vários países. A pré-visualização de “Ícones e mulheres” ocorreu na manhã de 25 de Setembro durante a semana do Bom Viver.  Onde no final da conferência de imprensa durante a qual Steve McCurry respondeu a nossas perguntas, tive o prazer de seguir o caminho da exposição com o autor. Daqui pude perceber que o mesmo prefere falar através de suas fotos, em vez de se envolver em longas entrevistas, embora a tarde em um teatro lotado, falou sobre seu trabalho em conversa com o jornalista italiano Gianni Riotta, onde relatou muitos momentos tocantes de sua carreira enérgica e aventureira, cheio de histórias – inclusive dramáticas -muito interessantes. And in this post I can keep talkin about women, and I do so on the occasion of an exhibition of  the greatest american photographer Steve McCurry. In the beautiful setting of the Museums San Domenico in Forlí will be held until January 10, 2016 the exhibition called “Icons and women” and  is well worth a visit. Steve McCurry is the photographer that intruded on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, managed to take a picture of a young girl, Sharbat Gula, in a refugee camp that became famous worldwide in 1984 after the publication on National Geographic magazine cover. This is still one of the most recognized photo, a true icon, almost like the image of Che Guevara or Marylin, so to speak. Beautiful colors, a face expression and eyes that communicate a story beyond the simple click. The same thing happens to the 180 photographs on display that take you beyond just vision, thanks to an audio-guide commentary by the author for those identified as its icons. All photos of the show anyway, through the exhibition curated by Biba Giacchetti, and through the scenic work of Peter Bottazzi, are very fascinating and tell stories. And women’s stories, told by famous politicians or simple girls portraits from various ethnicities-photographed by McCurry in different countries. The preview of “Icons and women” has occurred on the morning of sept.25th within the week of Buon Vivere, where at the end of the press conference during which Steve McCurry responded to our questions, I had the pleasure of following the path of the exhibition with the author. From here we knew he would rather talk by his pictures rather than engaging in long interviews, although in the afternoon in a crowded theater, McCurry told about his work in a conversation with journalist Gianni Riotta, remembering many touching moments of his energetic and adventurous career, full of stories – even dramatic -very interesting.
